About the event
To coincide with the "Matisse, Color Without Limits" exhibition at the Grand Palais, we will explore the work and unique vision of Henri Matisse (1869-1954), the leading figure of Fauvism.
From his early days in Paris to his first successes, and through the various artistic disciplines Matisse explored as a true polymath (painting, collage, cut-outs, stained glass), we will rediscover his work of abstracting reality, aiming to elevate pure color to the status of art's primary subject.
This lecture, lasting between 1 hour 15 minutes and 1 hour 30 minutes, can be held in person or online, and can be combined with the guided tour of the Matisse exhibition at the Grand Palais, which I will be presenting. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or to request a quote.
